Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country…
lies a hidden gem waiting to be explored: Lake Pointe RV and Condo Resort in Canyon Lake. Our recent camping trip there with my two little adventurers, Kennedy (age 6) and Lane (age 4), was nothing short of magical. From collecting seashells to battling imaginary aliens at the playground, every moment was filled with laughter, discovery, and unforgettable memories.
As soon as we arrived at Lake Pointe, the excitement in the air was palpable. Our cozy campsite became our home away from home, surrounded by towering trees and the serene beauty of Canyon Lake. But it wasn’t long before the kids were itching to explore, and our first stop was the shimmering shores of the lake.
Exploring the Park
Kennedy and Lane’s eyes lit up as they discovered the treasure trove of seashells scattered along the water’s edge. Armed with buckets and a sense of wonder, they set off on their seashell scavenger hunt, gleefully comparing their finds and marveling at the beauty of nature.
Next up was the pool, what I would say in a Donald Trump like voice “yuge” or “huge” haha. This is where the kids embarked on a new adventure: learning to swim. With floaties strapped on and encouragement in abundance, they splashed and kicked their way to newfound confidence, their laughter echoing across the water.
But perhaps the highlight of our camping trip was the playground, where imagination knew no bounds. Inspired by their favorite space-themed cartoons, Kennedy and Lane transformed the playground into a battleground against imaginary aliens. Armed with sticks and boundless creativity, they concocted elaborate strategies to defend their territory, their giggles mixing with the sounds of their imaginary battles.
Everyday Moments Become Cherished Memories
To add an extra element of fun to our camping experience, we played camping bingo, ticking off boxes as we spotted wildlife, roasted marshmallows over the campfire, and stargazed beneath the Texas sky. It was a simple yet effective way to turn everyday moments into cherished memories, creating a sense of camaraderie and adventure that bonded us as a family.
As the sun dipped below the horizon and the campfire crackled, we gathered around to recount the day’s adventures. With rosy cheeks and tired but happy smiles, Kennedy and Lane regaled us with tales of their conquests and discoveries, their eyes shining with the joy of exploration.
More Than Just a Getaway
Our camping trip to Lake Pointe RV Resort was more than just a getaway—it was a journey of discovery, imagination, and bonding as a family. And as we packed up our campsite and bid farewell to the beauty of Texas Hill Country, we knew that the memories we made would linger in our hearts for years to come.
With another successful camping trip in the books I realize we have made more memories for our scrapbook; the project I haven’t started yet but plan to! Ok, honestly I don’t know if I will ever have time to start that scrapbook. And that’s ok, one day I might get around to it, but for now it’s a problem I’m so very lucky and happy to live with.
Cheers to the camping trip in the books and the ones yet to come!
