Three Trailheads to the Lake
There are three access points to Canyon Lake on the Lake Pointe property along the Hike & Bike Trail. Those access points are called: Tabitha’s Landing, The Pointe and Pontoon Pointe.
- Motorized vehicles of any kind are prohibited past the three access points. The Army Corps of Engineers have been know to ticket offenders.
- Pickup areas along the lake must comply with Army Corps regulations
- Canopies are welcomed but must be taken down every day. Please don’t leave them up overnight.
- Launch your kayak or canoe anywhere along Lake Pointe’s shoreline. Ask the office for the easiest option.
- Tabitha’s Landing trail is a long walk to the shoreline and offers the best swimming when the lake levels are normal and features a sandy bottom.
- Pontoon Pointe is so called because park guests and members often moor their boats in this area for the day.
- The Pointe is the favored kayak and canoe launch point. It also make a great pickup point for jet skis.
